For a device that is approximately a foot wide and a little over an inch in height, the Sky Angel IPTV set-top box delivers an incredible experience! Sky Angel powers its way into your home with a great picture, a fantastic variety of programming choices, and is extremely user friendly.

The features are one of the first things I noticed, as I got to play with the equipment recently (Warning: It can be addictive. Then again, the programs are wholesome and great so who cares).  You can use your easy-to-follow remote and freeze pictures as well as look back to the faith-based programs you might have missed, as far as two entire days! That is pretty amazing considering I can’t remember what I had for breakfast two days ago… Never miss one of your favorite programs again.

Selecting programming with the remote is easy and the variety is remarkable for the small monthly cost. Seventy or more TV and radio channels are available in the Family Values Pak, including six Christian music video channels. The choices are familiar too — Angel One, Discovery Kids, the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel, God TV, Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, QVC, sports channels and many others.

If you select the faith package over fifty faith-based channels are available. These channels include Christian documentaries, concerts and movies.

There are three basic packages, the Faith Package, the Family Package, and the Family Values Pak. The highest priced package is a mere $24.99 a month. Compare this to cable or satellite prices and the remarkable value becomes quite obvious. Sky Angel also has a 30-day risk-free trial period.

There is clear reception on each channel and if you’re looking for some inspiration, you are bound to find your favorite preacher on this great set-up! The Video on Demand feature includes programming for teens and kids, music, movies, sports, documentaries, series, and news and lifestyle.

In addition, new channels are coming all the time, including more sports channels like NFL Network. The Subscription Video on Demand features the Worship Network, Church of God programming, and other choices. Over 2000 programs are available to you instantly when all the choices are totaled.

Another nice feature is that if you want to know the weather forecast, you can check it out immediately on Sky Angel using the “Today’s Weather” feature. It is also easy to go to “My Account” and find information about upgrading your programming package at any time, the Refer a Friend program, and how to reach customer support. Best of all, it’s all right at your fingertips.

The following is available on the main menu:  1) TV Channels. 2) Radio Channels. 3) Video On Demand. 4) Subscription Video On Demand. 5) Sky Angel News. 6) Today’s Weather. 7) My Bookmark. 8) My Account.

The picture is comparable to what you can receive on cable or satellite which is another way of saying it’s clear and crisp. There are some TV commercials, which is the norm with all formats of television broadcasting but the 48-hour playback feature on the faith channels makes it easy to skip commercials when you’re not in the mood.  I took a little time and watched part of a faith program titled “Changing Your Life” on the Golden Eagle Broadcasting channel, and Tim LaHaye, the best-selling Christian author, was the guest. I enjoyed it very much as he is an interesting man to listen to as he speaks of prophetic doctrine from the Bible.  There is truly something for everyone on Sky Angel.

Overall, my experience was grand in enjoying Sky Angel. In fact, I could omit the word “overall” because I can’t think of anything to criticize. How often do you come up with a broadcasting system, be it cable or satellite, and you can say that? I highly recommend Sky Angel. It is extremely affordable, offers a nice variety of choices and new programming is added frequently. The viewer can even use Video On Demand as desired. Look up to the sky! It’s something super. It’s Sky Angel!
