Rise of the Guardians is an epic adventure that tells the story of a group of heroes -- each with extraordinary abilities. When an evil spirit known as Pitch lays down the gauntlet to take over the world, the immortal Guardians must join forces for the first time to protect the hopes, beliefs and imagination of children all over the world.
"Rise of the Guardians" is a fantasy adventure that brings all of the mythical children's characters together in an attempt to stop an old foe. Jack Frost plays a central role in the film. He feels alone since none of the children believe in him, leaving Jack feeling invisible and unloved. There is plenty of action in this film and the characters are fiercer than we remember them in their traditional roles. However the story is quaint and breathes new life into these old friends from our childhood.
Can Jack find his "center" and save the day? Or, will the "Boogie Man" win out and scare children forever? You will have to go and see the film to find out. While there are some scary scenes in the film, we feel that children around eight and over will enjoy the movie. We are pleased to award this imaginary tale our Dove "Family-Approved" Seal for all ages.
