Fueled by revenge, Michael sets up a meeting with Clef Robie, the man who murdered his wife and child 6 years ago.
His plans of killing him come to a sudden standstill when two gunmen rob the diner. Michael takes matters into his own hands when he shoots them and holds the entire diner hostage until he kills his target. In the midst of all these events, Michael finds an unlikely ally in Don, a devout Christian who believes God is going to help him in his endeavor. While Michael battles with his faith, the hostages start finding extraordinary connections between them.
CROSSROAD is an emotional and inspiring story of redemption, forgiveness, and the ultimate realization of God's Grace in all of our lives.
This film demonstrates the battle between good and evil very clearly and, fortunately, good triumphs in the end. There are a few moments of violence in the story but the filmmakers have have been cautious so we see some blood but it is not gratuitous. The redemptive theme is very powerful.
Michael's wife and young daughter were murdered six years previous to this and he holds vengeance in his heart, especially when the murderer, Clef Robie, is released early from prison. Although Michael doesn't kill anyone he does shoot a robber who is going to shoot a young man. Ultimately Michael is mortally wounded and he must decide if he will turn to God. In an inspirational scene a character asks God for his forgiveness and trusts in Christ.
It's interesting that this story brings several people together in a diner, people who have connections they are at first not aware of. The movie's redemptive theme is to be applauded and it is a wonderful suspense story. We are pleased to award it our Dove "Family-Approved" Seal for ages twelve plus as well as our Faith Friendly Seal.
