Synopsis:
Inspire your family with a message of laughter and hope. Apostles of Comedy is an inventive mix of four comedians and the exploration into their lives as men, men of faith and how they express their faith through their comedy. The film is a weave of live performances and documentary footage following the comedians on stage, in their homes, churches and in a "no-holds-barred" conversation.

Dove Worldview:
This is a great comedy show. The group of comics is formed out of four men who do not use inappropriate language or subjects in their act. Throughout the DVD they interview the comedians and their family members about their lives. This gives the program an interesting twist and a look into the serious side of their lives. Each comedian has his own jokes that have been taken from moments in their own lives to make the audience laugh. I found myself laughing out loud many times.

I don’t think a child under 12 would understand most of the jokes or may not understand that they are joking. Dove is happy to award the Dove "Family-Approved" Seal for ages 12 and up.
