Synopsis:
Saul of Tarsus, a student of Jewish law, zealously persecutes early Christians. But after experiencing a blinding vision of Jesus while traveling to Damascus, (where he intended to carry out more persecutions), Saul converts to Christianity. Changing his name to Paul, he becomes a tireless evangelist, preaching in the name of Jesus to Jews and Gentiles alike from the Near East to Rome.

Dove Worldview:
This Dove-approved 30-minute episode tells the story of Saul of Tarsus’ persecution of Christians and subsequent conversion and ministry. The episode does a nice job of showing at first Saul’s zeal in the persecution of people he believes to be blaspheming God, and then his zeal for Christ after being converted on the road to Damascus and after taking the name of Paul.

There is very little objectionable material in this episode. Early on a man is shown being stoned to death and in another scene a man is punched. In both scenes, a little cartoon blood is shown. This comes to the edge of us not approving it for all ages due to the stoning scene, but we do approve it for all ages with the strong caution that we urge parents to watch the video with their children.
