Synopsis:
Picture this scene: the ancient Hebrews are enslaved by the Egyptians and forced to build the great cities of the Pharaohs. Suffering every indignity (including the slaying of every Hebrew son), one family tries courageously to save its newborn child by placing him in a basket and sailing him down the river into the arms of Pharaoh’s daughter. God, in all His faithfulness, chooses this infant as the one who will deliver His people from slavery. The story of Moses reminds us that the Lord keeps His promises to a thousand generations.

Dove Worldview:
This Film did a wonderful job of telling the story of Moses. The film started with Moses' birth, his being sent away in a basket on the river to save his life, and it continues on through his wandering in the desert where he speaks to God in the burning bush. The story followed the Bible accurately. I was impressed with the amount of information given in such a short film and with the way it was portrayed. The film was simple enough for young children to understand yet not so simple so that adults could not enjoy it. The producers did a good job at making this film interesting for people of all ages. This is a short film so children can watch and learn about the Bible without losing interest. This would also make a great teaching tool for churches. " The Animated Stories From the Bible" series is a great way to teach your children about God and the Bible and it opens the door for your children to start asking questions.
