Synopsis

“From the islands of the sea” is the first episode of the series. In each episode we focus on the development and circumstances of Christian movements in the inspected society. This episode leads to the biggest country of South-East Asia – to Indonesia. The wonderful tropical country is a melting pot not only of numberless nations and tribes but of many religions and cultures. Though officially stated to be the largest Muslim majority, since the 60s full gospel Christian revival spreads like wildfire.

Dove Review

This inspirational movie speaks of Indonesia, a Muslim country that is now turning more toward Christianity. This fascinating documentary features what is happening in the country and speaks of former leaders, including one who followed Christianity. The documentary also mentions converts to Christianity who endure the persecution of relatives including a woman who says her brother hit her and pulled a knife on her.

The film features people worshipping God and being blessed in church, singing, and thankful for Christianity. We are pleased to award our Dove Seal to this film for all ages, but wish to note that it is too intense for the very young. However, it is educational and kids eight and up should receive interesting lessons and facts from watching this film and the ending is wonderful as if features people excited over their forgiveness.
