The Way of Luke (Manuscript)

Luke Justin winds up in a jail cell for fighting. He is a good hearted man who needs to be pointed in the right direction. With the help of the local sheriff and Luke's own wife Sarah, he finds himself doing community service, painting for a local church, and his subsequent visits with the pastor and the introduction in his life to a foster child named Bradley literally changes his life.

Dove Review

This story needs to be made into a movie! It is a wonderful story about change, the change that takes place in a man named Luke Justin. Luke is a brawler, drinker and pool player, until he is given community service at a church and begins to have conversations with the local pastor. He also acquiesces to his wife Sarah’s wish to take in a foster child and when Luke meets six-year-old Bradley, he begins to feel what it feels like to connect with a boy and soon Bradley is like a son to Luke and Luke like a father to Bradley.

When Luke and Sarah learn that Bradley’s father Jay abused the boy, Luke is soon challenged to turn to his old brawling ways, “the way of Luke”, or to follow the ways of God. This inspiring and remarkable story is a good read and would make a wholesome faith and family film with a good plot. Luke grows up when given a responsibility he never thought he would take to and soon he understands the Heavenly Father as he learns about being an earthly father. We gladly award our Dove Family-Approved Seal to this manuscript for all ages and present it with five Doves, our highest rating. If a movie is made and keeps the same content in it, we could approve that as well. We hope it is made.
