Those in conservative realms would not be happy in viewing this DVD. It suggests that some things which have been accepted for many, many years as truth from the Bible, such as a snake once having walked on legs, is really not true. In fact, this DVD suggests it was a salamander! Some of the experts in this DVD suggest Jonah was not truly swallowed by a fish, a whale, but by a constellation above him, not anything below him! I always have a problem with these documentaries which tend to want to shock the viewer and educate him or her in how wrong he has been in believing certain things over the years. Another example of this is when the DVD states that Aaron’s staff produced crocodiles, not serpents, as is widely accepted. Also, some of the plagues of the Bible are said to have been other plagues other than what has been universally taught. I will say, on a positive note, that an animated film of Moses in the DVD is very nicely done, as is a nice animation of the cherubim.
Despite the fact the DVD includes a rabbi and various professors or experts, it also includes nudity, such as a photo of a nude woman which clearly reveals her bare breasts. There are various nude paintings of women which reveal breasts, some depictions of Eve. Shirtless men are seen as well. In addition, the theory of evolution is spoken of as a fact. Due to the fact that this DVD is controversial in nature regarding accepted biblical beliefs, and it includes upper female nudity, and controversial evolution comments, we are unable to award our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal to this documentary.
