Dove Review

Two words describe this film: Compelling! Riveting! Matthew Modine stars in this powerful courtroom drama as an attorney who has given up on his practice and almost his life after the tragic loss of his wife and son in a car accident. “The Trial” will keep its audience’s attention from start to finish as Modine searches for the truth during the trial of the boy who has been accused of killing a young girl.

This faith-friendly film has many positive references to God and his ability to forgive us and help us move past our loss and grief. It also shows how bad things can happen to good people and that it is up to us to continue to search for answers while we try to accept our present circumstances. We are happy to award our Dove “Faith Friendly” Seal to this movie.
