Dove Review

This movie has a few interesting fight sequences and the lead actress, Kristin Kreuk, is good as Chun Li, but the story takes awhile to get going. When it does, it doesn’t slow down again until the end. From about the middle of the picture on there is a lot of kicking, punching, explosions, shooting, broken glass, and bodies piling up. It definitely crosses our acceptable level of violence for a family-friendly movie. That, along with the use of mystical powers and a curse used by one character toward another, is enough to keep us from being able to award our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal to the film. Revenge is one of the picture’s biggest themes.

Viewers should try to locate a family film when they head to the movies, one which is not all about revenge.
