Synopsis

After decades of warfare, Earth has become a toxic wasteland, and the survivors are slowly dying from a terrible disease. Dr. Azuma (Yusuke Iseya) has developed a genetic treatment that might help regenerate the population, but his experiment goes horribly wrong. Inadvertently creating a race of mutants that threaten the future of mankind, Dr. Azuma must seek an unlikely ally to help defeat the monsters he’s created in this sci-fi adventure.

Dove Review

This movie has English subtitles and the viewer will have to watch it this way throughout the film. That aside, the movie wanders off into several small sub-plots and can be difficult to follow. There is the plot of war which also is a constant in the movie, the storyline of death and the rebirth of certain people as mutants, and romance to boot. This is a dark and depressing movie with a lot of violence in it and some of that violence contains bloody scenes. Some of the characters wish to eliminate mankind. The theme of a corrupt government no doubt is symbolic of some governments in the world today. The only positive thing I can say is that some of the musical score was quite good but that’s not enough to recommend this film. This cannot be considered a family-friendly movie and we are therefore unable to award our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal to the DVD.
