Synopsis

The American spirit is celebrated in the outrageous and totally irreverent comedy An American Carol from David Zucker, the master of movie satire (Airplane!, The Naked Gun, Scary Movie 3 and 4).

Dove Review

OK, I get it that this is a parody; and that parodies are supposed to take things to extremes. Unfortunately, “An American Carol” uses too much foul language from young children to get laughs instead of relying on a well written script. Yes, there is a star studded cast of participants and yes, everything from religions to race is made fun of equally. However, a family film this is not. Due to excessive content, Dove cannot award our Seal to this film.
