Synopsis

“Siente” is a collection of international lullabies by award winning classical guitarist Hilary Field and vocalist Patrice O’Neill. This recording also features virtuoso hornist, Nancy Rumbel, as well as principal musicians from the Pacific Northwest Ballet orchestra. Lullabies from Basque, Irish, Russian, Spanish, Indonesian, Italian, French, Brazilian and Sephardic tradition are sung in their native tongue as well as English. A wonderful gift for new parents, this album of soothing music and beautiful melodies is appropriate for all ages.

Dove Review

An absolutely beautiful CD, “Siente” has 13 wonderfully soothing lullabies from around the world. The songs are all sung by the same woman who has a gentle, peaceful voice. The CD is mostly accompanied by the acoustic guitar, but the flute and mandolin also add to the calming effect of the songs. There are very few CD’s that I can handle playing throughout the day, but “Siente” is an exception. With it playing on low, it definitely had a calming influence. If your children fall asleep to music, “Siente” would be a wonderful addition to your collection. Dove happily approves “Siente” for the ears of all ages!
