For the Love of Money (Manuscript)

Travis has become obsessed with money and believes all his success is due to him and him alone. Travis rejects the help of Waverly, a misfit angel, seeing him as a supreme challenge rather then a friend. In doing so Travis sets into motion the very circumstances that will destroy him. Waverly has been sent to save Travis from himself and show him what will happen to his life and the losses he will have if he does not make some serious life changes.

Dove Review

Overall this story is cute and funny, as a bumbling angel helps a man who can’t see the negative direction in which his life is headed if he doesn’t change his ways. The characters are very believable, although I think it is unfair to always portray guardian angels as bumbling fools trying to get their wings. Sometimes we all need to see what the future will be if we do not make serious changes in our lifestyles.

Seeing this made into a movie for Lifetime or Hallmark would be a great possibility. Dove could not approve this manuscript for all ages because of the element of marital infidelity; but it is a good story with important lessons for ages 12 and older.
