Synopsis

Sea life in a whole new way. “Deep Sea 3D,” a new underwater adventure from the filmmakers behind the successful IMAX® 3D film “Into the Deep,” transports audiences deep below the ocean surface. Through the magic of IMAX® and IMAX 3D, moviegoers will swim with some of the planet’s most unique, dangerous and colorful creatures, and understand this inspiring underworld.

“Deep Sea 3D” is directed by world-renowned underwater cinematographer Howard Hall, produced by Toni Myers and Michele Hall and narrated by Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet, with an original score by Danny Elfman.

Dove Review

What a fantastic movie-going experience! The visual effects of the deep sea adventure bring the viewer up close and personal with the inhabitants of the world’s most beautiful coral reefs. It is as close to the real thing as I have ever seen. Because this is essentially a documentary, special consideration should be given to young children. Although it carries a G rating, the violence inherent in nature is graphically portrayed and dramatic sound effects have been added. Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet are the perfect pair to conversationally narrate the experience, as their comfortably familiar voices provide a pleasant background to spectacular visuals.
