Synopsis

While playing in front of an old fireplace in a deserted farmhouse, a young boy named Tom is whisked away into a magical time warp. With a lovable dog named Tess as his only guide, Tom finds himself on the outskirts of the second World War. Tess and Tom’s amazing journey soon leads to friendship with a young evacuee named May. And soon the three set off on an adventure with consequences that no one will soon forget.

Dove Review

This time travel adventure is imaginative and deals with serious issues such as divorce and death. The difference one person can make in other people’s lives is clearly seen, as a result of an act of kindness by young Tom in the past which reverberates into the present. Young May’s life is forever changed by to what Tom does. Unfortunately, there is one biblical profanity which prevents it from being family approved by Dove. There are a few other crude words used as well.
