Synopsis

“World Behind the Headlines” was originally released in 1960 by TRAFCO (Television Radio and Film Commission of the Methodist Church). The film looks at the struggles of a man living during this time period and how he is seeking an answer to all of his troubles from the church. This film adequately portrays some of the struggles of the time and needs to be viewed with a true historical perspective keeping in mind everything that the world has learned since this film was originally released. Also, this film is apparently part of a larger series titled “The Future is Now,” so to view this film as is, without this larger context, could lead the viewer to draw some inaccurate conclusions about the producer’s original intent.

Dove Review

A man struggling with the question, “Why is there so much evil in the world” seeks the answers from a preacher. During the course of their conversation, the pastor attempts to show the man that while the struggle will exist for a long time to come, there are things one man can do, with the Lord’s help, that can change the world.
