Dove Review

“Seaberry Beach Party” is a charming and colorful addition to the “Strawberry Shortcake” series produced by 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment. In this edition Strawberry Shortcake and her friends reminisce about past adventures while looking through an old photo album. Memories take them back to a mystery they once solved while visiting Coco Calypso’s island home. In solving this mystery they learn about the value of friendship, a common theme of “Strawberry Shortcake” movies.

This film, like the others, has several cheerful songs throughout. You may find yourself happily humming these tunes as your child sings them over and over and over again. Having grown up with Strawberry Shortcake (first edition), I’m pleased that the films have made it back into the mainstream. They are great tools for introducing children to different personality characteristics and their consequences. They offer parents of pre-schoolers an excellent opportunity for dialogue with their children.
