The Harper and the King

Camped in the Judean Hills in 996 B.C., the people of Israel face enslavement, unless they fight. Saul, the King of Israel, has fallen from the grace of God. Unable to sleep, he summons a boy - a shepherd named David - to harp for him. Across the valley, a Philistine giant named Goliath wonders at the meaning of the lives he has taken. Soon they will meet. This is a compact disc.

Dove Review

Odds Bodkin takes the already great story of David and spins it so magically with his twelve string guitar. He changes voices, and paints the setting magnificently with his guitar. If you know David’s story, or even if you are hearing it for the very first time, “The Harper and the King” is something everyone should hear.
