Broken Lizards Club Dread

This is a horror–comedy about a party island off the coast of Costa Rica owned by a has-been rock star named Coconut Pete (Bill Paxton). Young people come here to get high on drugs, drink, have sex and party till they drop. It’s all one big, extended party until some of the staff starts turning up dead. In order to avoid quenching the party atmosphere, the murders are kept silent. A tough war veteran is brought in to help solve the mystery, but he is killed too. Fear starts to spread across the island, and everyone starts pointing fingers and accusing each other of being the murderer. When phone lines are cut and all of the boats on the island are sabotaged, panic sets in and chaos rules. Also starring Kevin Heffernan, Paul Soter, Steve Lemme, Erik Stolhanske, Brittany Daniel and Jordan Ladd.

Dove Review

This sex-and-slasher film has no virtues whatsoever, filled with people drinking, doing drugs and having sex with each other. There are several sex scenes and nudity of both men and women, and homosexuality is used as a “turn on.”

Dead bodies are hung up and drip blood on unsuspecting partiers who discover the bodies when they find blood in their drinks. If the above were not enough for you to dread going to this one, the dialog throughout is filled with the worst kind of graphic language and sexual innuendo. Therefore, due to sex, drugs, language, violence and overall bad content, this film is cannot receive the Dove Seal. Families should stay away from this one.
