Dove Review

Children will enjoy watching the hot air balloon ride to collect everything for “The most important meal of the day,” also called “rocket fuel.” Parents will smile with approval at their children getting positive messages about the first meal of the day. The search includes: orange juice, cereal, milk, fruit and maple syrup. I found myself fascinated with watching oranges going from the trees, to the plant to be washed, juiced, packaged and shipped in containers that children see in their homes. The cereal segment was of particular interest to me, because I’ve been on a tour of a cereal plant in Battle Creek, Michigan. This is what kids will see: harvested wheat becoming their favorite cereal and boxed for distribution. There’s a great one liner about milk: “Bones are a bank account for calcium, they save it up.” The closing segment showing maple trees being tapped for sap will interest children. It takes the sap of four trees to make one gallon of pure maple syrup. This video is recommended for reinforcing the importance of breakfast, as well as helping to instill good eating habits in young children.
