Synopsis

Back for a third round, Scary Movie 3 makes fun of virtually every recent thriller from The Matrix to Signs. In a mixed up plot that exists solely to provide for the film’s crude humor and physical comedy, this installment tells the story of Cindy Campbell (Anna Faris), a news reporter with an interest in the supernatural. When Cindy becomes acquainted with strange “crop circles” in Tom Logan’s (Charlie Sheen) corn field, she has a hunch that it’s more than a hoax. Pulling together a crew of interested, yet out-of-place, friends from rappers to the President of the United States (Leslie Nielsen), Cindy and her love-interest, George (Simon Rex), investigate the mystery. After avoiding dangers, visiting a prophet (Queen Latifah) and meeting “the Architect” (George Carlin), they end up halting an alien invasion and saving the planet from uncertain destruction. Phew!

Dove Review

Scary Movie 3 is definitely on the lighter and funnier side of recent releases. While some parts are funny, some are inappropriate, especially for the targeted youth audience.
