Synopsis

Following the 1996 original action–comedy, this sequel is as mindless as the first with an even greater disregard for human life. Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) return as two crime-fighting partners with the Miami Police. This time, they are up against the city’s drug lord (Jordi Molla) who will kill anyone who stands in his way. After a drug bust gone sour and some shootouts, Marcus discovers that his younger sister, Syd (Gabrielle Union), works undercover for the DEA. While he’s going crazy trying to protect her, Mike is falling in love with her. After many explosions, shootouts and car crashes, the drug lord escapes and takes Syd hostage to Cuba. Mike and Marcus attempt to rescue her on their own because the Miami police department cannot pursue criminals outside the U.S.

Dove Review

With the heavy load of violence, a massive quantity of bad language and an abundance of other negatives, “Bad Boys II” cannot be awarded the Dove Seal for family-friendly entertainment.
