Synopsis

There’s something strange going on in a small northeastern coastal town and young Amanda (Tegen Moss, “Little Women”) is determined to find out what it is. Amanda is a dreamer — she dreams of swimming the English Channel and she dreams of mermaids. One day, she witnesses an elderly man jump off an inlet bridge into freezing water. Horrified, she dives in to rescue him, but when she brings him to the surface, he explains he was just going for a swim! Join Amanda as she slowly learns that John (Hume Cronyn, “The Pelican Brief”) and his wife Bridget (Joan Gregson, “The Scarlet Letter”) are not just an old married couple — they seem to have an enchanted and mysterious relationship with the sea. This magical, mythical family adventure will have you believing in the impossible, and wishing to join the sea people.
