Synopsis

TBS Superstation presents the first-ever in-depth look at authentic combat-readiness military exercises. “War Games,” hosted by Emmy winning NFL analyst Howie Long, offers a rare, up-close look at military competitions including air-to-air dog fighting, submarine warfare, urban combat and “live fire” fighting exercises. This two-hour original special and potential series pilot, premiering Wednesday, 3/28/01 at 8 pm (Et) 9 pm (PT), is being produced with the full cooperation of the United States military.

Dove Review

This is exciting reality television as we get a close-up look at military war games. The men and women of the armed services themselves are what impressed me the most about this special presentation. They made it clear that the camaraderie and the satisfying accomplishment of a job well done is what makes them want to be a part of military life. Whatever political reasons for warfare, the men and women presented in this production go to war only to protect the peace. I think you will be uplifted knowing that on the whole, our military guys and gals are people of character and substance. They are the cream of the crop. Good television.
