Synopsis

Time to Dance is a 28 minute video tape designed to introduce parents, and children ages 5-12, to the basics of dance in an educational and entertaining manner. The dancers perform outdoors amidst sculpture and in colorful and lively indoor sets at children’s theatres. Alison Crosby, master teacher, and the 11 young dancers teach and demonstrate their favorite steps. Parents and children are encouraged to participate with the girls featured in the video. Pamela Hidalgo, dance studio owner of Ecuador, is the master teacher featured in “Time to Dance.” Interspersed throughout the video are artistic and enlightening dance improvisations that explore and expand creative expression. A Spanish version of this video titled “Tiempo para Bailar” is also available.
