The adventure begins during the Walker family's visit to the grandparent's ranch in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado when their daughter Carla (Aaryn Smith) gets lost in the dense woods while chasing her kitten. A hungry mountain lion and a mountain storm add to the adventure as the little girl finds herself in extreme danger. Her Grandfather (Jack Casperson), aided by his tracking mule Moosie, must set out on the perilous journey to find Carla before the cougar finds its next meal. In the meantime, Carla's father (Gary Hansbrough), an executive totally absorbed in his business, is now brought face to face with the importance of love and family as he confronts the stark reality of losing his little girl.
