Synopsis

A rodeo cowboy must reunite with his estranged daughters when his ex-wife is murdered. While they cope with the loss of their mother, the girls must learn a new way of life with a father they barely know. Complicating matters: The murdered woman’s sister seeks custody of the two sisters. First aired on CBS 1/12/00 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.

Dove Review

Inspired by true incidents, this is a well-acted account of a father, absorbed by his own career, realizing what is truly important in his life: his daughters. Not sugarcoated, the story attempts to present human, sometimes unlikable qualities in its protagonists. It is a frustrating time for both the man and his kids as they deal with loss and restructure. Although there is no acknowledgement of a spiritual life, the film presents positive messages about a parent showing responsibility and patience.

Content Description

Contains several expletives and one obscenity as the lead refers to the murderer of his ex-wife; a mother is shot in front of her pre-teen daughters; a frustrated father has drinks in a bar and gets into a brawl.
