Synopsis

A cross between an adult fantasy and an ecology-themed cartoon aimed at adults, Princess Monokoke is about nature rebelling against man’s neglect and destructive behavior. Based on Japanese folklore, it tells the story of the gods of the forest at war with a mining village.

Content Description

Extremely violent imagery which may be unsettling to little ones expecting a Disney-style story; we see decapitation, severed limbs, and bloody wounds; mysticism; gods, demons, and angry spirits; there are several expletives and a couple of “oh my gods;” the women in the town were once prostitutes, this is referred to upon occasion; cleavage on the females is seen, and the loincloths on the men reveal portions of their buttocks
