Modern references and Fraser’s uninspired performance, along with countless hackneyed floorboards-in-the face bits make this a cheesy and largely unfunny rip-off of a fairly cleaver TV-cartoon.

Dudley Do-Right
This slapstick comedy is based on the Jay Ward cartoon, which lampooned the square-jawed heroes vs. the mustache-twirling villains of old-time melodramas. The live-action version has our true-blue Canadian Mountie up against Snidely Whiplash, who’s bent on taking over the local community by making everyone believe he’s the good guy, and Dudley is the scoundrel.
