Synopsis

In this hilarious comedy of crooks and crooked business, Tim Diamond is a clueless private detective with nothing to detect until the day Johnny Naples walks in. Naples leaves a package in their care, a simple enough job, until he’s found murdered. Suddenly Tim is wanted by both the police and every major gangster in town. There’s the slim “Fat Man” who lost a lot of weight but decided to keep his name; Gott and Himmell, two polite but deadly German assassins; the sleekly seductive Brenda Von Falkenberg; and faded nightclub singer Lauren Bacardi. When Nick opens the package, it only contains candy – but the candy is the clue to finding a fortune in uncut diamonds belonging to the mysterious “Falcon”. Now Tim, aided by his younger but smarter brother, Nick, have to avoid being arrested and being murdered, to track down the diamonds before someone tracks them down.
