This is a wonderful animated movie and is based on a 1931 storybook. Babar is king of the elephants and it is his children’s bedtime. It has been a long day but they want to hear a bedtime story about how the Victory Parade got its name. So Babar tells the tale of when he was a very young king and Celeste came for his help to save her mother and other elephants from the evil rhinos.
The charming stories of lovable King Babar have entertained many of children over the years. This movie is as cute as any of the stories in the series. There is always a moral message in the tales, as in this one it shows the importance of keeping your word and helping friends because some day they may have to help you. We are so proud to award this movie the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for all ages.
