Synopsis

The heartwarming story of Eugene Chernyakhovsky, a boy with cerebral palsy who overcomes many challenges as he prepares for his bar-mitzvah, is captured in this one-hour documentary. Assisted by a team of experts and volunteers from his Philadelphia community, Eugene transfers his entire Tora portion to a computer that serves as his voice, using only one foot. Culminating in the bar-mitzvah service and celebration at which he addresses the congregation in both English and Russian, Eugene’s journey is unforgettable.
