Synopsis

After serving a five-year sentence for manslaughter, a young woman settles in a small Maine town and takes a job working for the feisty owner of the local grill. Forced to take on even more help after an accident, the owner turns to her nephew’s timid wife, and the three slowly develop an unlikely friendship which ultimately transforms the entire town.

Dove Review

Newly released from prison, a young girl moves to a small town in Maine hoping to begin a new life. Perhaps too many subplots, but a pleasure to see such gentle storytelling, with three dimensional characters. Ms. Elliott is outstanding, making up for the film’s flaws.

Content Description

2 or 3 obscenities; several mild expletives, but I caught no misuse of God's name other than a few "Oh my Gods"; in one scene the three leads get "looped" on Apple Jack; adult themes, but I thought the rating was a bit strict.
