Dove Review

Even though she may be a witch, Ruby’s (Seanna Pereira) magic really lies in her ability to believe in herself and others. This is the biggest takeaway from An Enchanted Ruby, a magical family film to gather around and enjoy. The idea of magic leans less on the mystical side, and instead focuses on how having faith in your friends and family is life’s ultimate trick.

The film will be a lot of fun for younger viewers, as it juggles the fantastical elements of Ruby learning how to use her magic wisely and a secondary storyline about Ruby and her friends forming a band together to win the town competition. An Enchanted Ruby has a good-hearted way of showing that magic is not all spells and sorcery. Magic comes out of love and compassion, particularly from Ruby’s supportive father (Ed Stoppard) and her friends. There are a lot of wonderful lessons to learn from this film!

Dove is proud to award An Enchanted Ruby with approval for All Ages.
