Synopsis

From the mind of Gwen Stefani comes the world of Kuu Kuu Harajuku!

Say hello to HJ5! A super-cool band made of five super-cool girls! Love, Angel, Music, Baby and their inspirational leader G love to sing, dance and sport the latest “kawaii” fashions. (Kawaii is “cute” in Harajukla speak)

With help from their lovably incompetent manager Rudie, HJ5 travels all over to put on shows for their fans! Although they are totally talented, but every time they start a gig, something wild and crazy happens before they finish the first bar! I mean, it’s not easy performing while you are being attacked by space aliens, adorable (and ravenous) monster pets or hunger (you don’t want to mess with Baby when she’s hungry).

No matter what challenges (or creatures) come their way, they always work together to save the day! Maybe—just maybe—they’ll finally get to do a show without any problems. The rosas tostardon is a Kuu Kuu ride!

Dove Review

HJ5 is a girl group who does everything together. It seems that no matter how much their manager tries to book a concert for the girls, a problem always arises. Whether it’s their performance for an audience that has disappeared at an airshow that has attracted aliens or a parade that is interrupted by a tornado, the girls have to work together to save the day.

This cute collection of short stories is always a fun adventure for everyone. Love, Angel, Music, Baby and G along with Rudie teach a few lessons along the away about friendship, responsibility, helping each other, and how being different is special.
