“Oddball” is a cute and charming dog with a mind of his own. He gets into trouble every time he goes to town. Now he has been banned from town and is down to his last chance. Now what will Oddball’s owner Swampy do?
Swampy’s daughter, Emily, has been taking care of the sanctuary on Middle Island just as her mother did. Emily is a single mom who tells her daughter Olivia the same stories about the penguins that Emily heard from her mother growing up. But now the island is in trouble. It seems that foxes are attacking the penguins, and their numbers are going down. If they can not keep at least 10, the town board will shut down the island and make it in to a place for whales. Swampy and Olivia come up with a plan that will hopefully save the penguins—and Oddball too. Their plan to have Oddball protect the penguins on the island seems to work, but someone else has a different plan to stop it. Now everyone has to work together to find out what happened to Oddball and see if they can count 10 penguins to save the sanctuary. This is a fun and lovable movie about saving animals of the Earth, working together for a cause, and family. At times, comical, and at times, it will bring a tear to your eye. It is penguin- and dog-loving entertainment for the family. But unfortunately due to some language, we award the Dove Family Seal for ages 12-plus to “Oddball”.
