Kikoriki – Legend of the Golden Dragon

The lovably simple residents of peaceful Kikoriki Island are thrown kicking and screaming into big adventure, when their resident scientist invents an amazing device - a helmet called "the Improverizor," which takes personality traits from one person and swaps them with traits of someone else.

But when spineless young Wally tries to use the untested device to cure his cowardice, he ends up even more spineless - by getting accidentally body-switched with a squirmy little caterpillar. Now he has even more to fear than he could have ever imagined, and so do his fellow villagers, as they're dragged into a madcap adventure packed with plane crashes, mistaken identities, erupting volcanoes and angry primitives on the warpath. Boy, do the Kikoriki Crew wish they could switch place now - with anyone.

Dove Review

Wally and his friends play a lot of video games, but even when it is a game, he is still one scared sheep. He wishes he was more like the others in his group— for instance, Crash the rabbit. But that will never happen—or will it?

When a new invention—one that will change personalities from one person to another—is brought to everyone’s attention by the scientist, Wally believes that is just what can help him. So he puts on the head contraption, sets the dial and pushes the button, but instead of getting what he wants, he changes bodies with a little caterpillar. Thus, the adventure begins. He needs to get his friends’ attention and have them help return him to his own body.

Things don’t go well for any of the islanders as their plane crashes and all sorts of mishaps get in the way—especially when the caterpillar, now in Wally’s body, is mistaken for the legendary Golden Dragon by a native tribe on the island. These islanders think the dragon is there to save them.

It is a comical story of zany characters who try to help one another out of situations they find themselves in. Also there is many lessons about being who you are and a little statement of “God helps those who help themselves” from danger. We award the Dove Family-Approved Seal for all ages for this animated movie.
