Murphy is a very special dog that belongs to the government. While traveling on a train with the FBI, he escapes.

Jamie and Hugo, who are brothers, play baseball with their friends. When Jamie hits the ball into an old abandoned house that — rumor has it — is haunted, the gang decides Jamie has to go into the house to get the ball. Hugo goes with his big brother, but what they find is a cute little dog, Murphy. When Murphy starts talking to Jamie telepathically, and then to the rest of the kids, they are all amazed and listen to Murphy’s story.

Meanwhile, the brothers’ father has lost his job close to Christmas. The boys decide to keep Murphy in their tree house. In the meantime, the FBI is looking everywhere for the dog and decide to send in Agent Sharp, who is the top of her field and doesn’t care who gets hurt along the way when she is on a case.

Will the kids and Murphy outwit the FBI, or will the FBI get Murphy back at any cost? “Doggone Christmas” is an entertaining movie for the entire family. We award it the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for all ages.
