Josie works for her father’s company, selling housewares, and is very busy. This weekend, her parents are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary, and they are going to have a big party that her mother has been planning. Her parents are not impressed with Josie’s boyfriend Richard. So, when she sees her boyfriend Gridley from high school, who her parents also did not like, she sets a plan in motion to bring Gridley to the family home for the party, in order to make Richard look better. Unfortunately, the best laid plans don’t always work out.
“Surprised By Love” is a charming movie about true love, not only for the young. In this film, little events happen that show even the older couple how to get back to the love they once had. Hilarity ensues, and the most delightful fun is watching Tim Conway play the grandfather who has not talked to anyone in the family for years. He adds to the story in his comical way that everyone adores.
