Synopsis

Ratchet and Clank tells the story of two unlikely heroes as they struggle to stop a vile alien named Chairman Drek from destroying every planet in the Solana Galaxy. When the two stumble upon a dangerous weapon capable of destroying entire planets, they must join forces with a team of colorful heroes called The Galactic Rangers in order to save the galaxy. Along the way, they’ll learn about heroism, friendship, and the importance of discovering one’s own identity.

Dove Review

“Ratchet and Clank” is an animated movie based on a popular video game about Ratchet, who wants to become a Space Ranger but does not have the necessary qualifications. Totally by accident, he finds a rejected army robot, whom he calls Crank, and they team up to save the other Space Rangers from being destroyed.

This is a colorful comedy that the entire family can enjoy, complete with lots of action, odd-looking characters, and some robots. As in most movies, the hysterical good guys are pitted against some bad guys who are out to destroy the galaxy.

The most important lesson this film teaches is that kids don’t have to do “big things” to be heroes — just do the right things. It also teaches kids not to blame themselves when things go wrong, but take responsibility for their actions. We award “Ratchet and Clank” the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for all ages.
