“Albert: Up, Up and Away!” is a charming animated production about two best friends and the adventure they take. Albert is always getting into trouble, but not on purpose, and his best friend Egon is with him most of the time. They have their differences, like most friends. Albert wants to become a hot-air-balloon captain so he can replace the statue that he accidentally destroyed when he was young. Egon, on the other hand, wants to become a pirate captain.
Albert finds a way to get them both on the adventure by kidnapping Egon. Down the river they go in an old fish barrel. Although they’re smart, they are young boys, and a swindler con man and his friends get the boys into trouble by asking them to steal a diamond for the con man. However, with a little help of a young girl, the boys return the gem and find what they were looking for: Albert gets a hot air balloon and Egon gets to be the pirate lookout in the balloon. This is a wonderful story of friendship, kindness and wise choices. Everyone in the family will enjoy this movie, and we are happy to award this film with the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for all ages.
