Synopsis

What happens when you mix 40 billion gallons of water, three ridiculously challenging obstacle courses, 12 brave contestants, nine ruthless gladiators and one medieval castle? You get Splatalot, the ultimate medieval game show.

Dove Review

Splatalot is a fun show for kids. The kingdom of Splatalot needs a king or queen. In each of the 26 episodes, 12 kids try to overcome the obstacles on the course to get the crown and become the ruler of the kingdom.

There are three different courses. The first is the moat, where the 12 competitors try to get the best time through the first course. At the same time, defenders of the kingdom shoot at them with slime, paint balls, and super-soakers to keep them kids from accomplishing their goal. The six kids with the best time continue on to the dungeon where they have to build a ladder, retrieve one of the four flags and make it to the top of the wall. Once again, the kids are bombarded with foamy suds, water and slime. The four winners from that round then compete in the last leg of the race. Once again, the defenders do everything in their power to detain their competitors in this last set of obstacles they must conquer to reach the crown.

It is a fun game of competition, with a lot of laughs from the announcers, the defenders and the kids competing. “Splatalot” is an entertaining game show for the entire family. We award it the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for all ages.
