“Just Believe” is a faith-based story which shows that miracles can occur if people believe and are willing to wait on them. Jason (Jason Riley Hoss) is a man with regrets. He had an allergic food reaction while driving and didn’t pull over. He wound up in an accident, in which a woman died and her young daughter went into a coma. But something miraculous happens. After Jason is badly injured on his job, with a lot of flowing blood as a result, he goes to the doctor, but the doctor finds no wound. He is whole. While at the same office, Jason reaches to steady a young boy in a cast who almost falls, and the young boy’s broken leg is healed. The boy walks out of the office on his own. Jason becomes known as the “healer” and people start to come to him. He was raised in church but hasn’t gone in a long while, and he begins to search out answers as to why God is using him like this. He finds the answer through scriptures found in Mark and Luke and written down in a certain man’s book, a man who was praying for Jason after the accident.
Jason meets a reporter named Sophia who wants a story from him. He doesn’t want publicity but finally agrees to a story as long as no cameras are present. Ultimately, the father of the little girl in the coma comes to see Jason and is angry with him. Later, when Jason goes to his home to attempt to pray for the girl’s healing, they have an altercation. Nothing will ever be the same, but is the girl healed?
Jason Riley Hoss gives a strong performance as Jason, the healer. “Just Believe” is a captivating film and story in many respects. We are happy to award it our Faith Friendly 12+ Seal! “Just Believe” will captivate you!
