Dove Review

In her classic “Storybook Collection,” Shirley Temple presents Winnie the Pooh, a charming bedtime story that has been a children’s favorite for generations. This tale comes to life with Bil Baird’s Marionettes, and Shirley Temple acts as the storyteller. Five-year-old Teddy Eccles, a newcomer to the stage at the time, plays Christopher Robin.

In this story, Eeyore is depressed, because he thinks everyone has forgotten his birthday. Pooh takes the problem to Christopher Robin, and they decide to plan a surprise party for Eeyore with the gang of the hundred acre woods: Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit, Kanga and Roo.

We are proud to award “The Shirley Temple Storybook Collection: Winnie-The-Pooh” the Dove Family Approved Seal for all ages.
