Dove Review

Shirley Temple plays the leading role in the three-act play of “The Little Mermaid.” The sea and the land are united in this fairy tale, when a beautiful little mermaid saves a charming prince during a storm and then falls in love with him. “The Little Mermaid” is a story of love and romance between the prince of land and the princess of the sea.

This charming presentation of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic tale is wonderful for the whole family. “The Little Mermaid” is one of many tales presented during the “Shirley Temple Storybook Collection” that was shown on TV from 1958 to 1961. We award this film the Dove Family Approved Seal for all ages.
