Synopsis

Throughout history emperors and dictators, kings and queens, regimes and religions have done their best to destroy it—and failed. For centuries the rich and powerful kept their people ignorant of its contents, fearful of the revolution that would take place if they ever learned what was in it. One day they did, and the world was changed forever. It’s the Bible.

Dove Review

God’s Book for the world—the Bible—has been read, recited and shared for generations. Yet do we know the history of how the Bible came to be and how it changed so many lives? These questions will be answered in this interesting documentary. Viewers will discover how the Bible was translated, how people in power feared if commoners were able to read it, and the violence, turmoil and persecution that some went through to share the Bible.

This documentary shows how the Bible is “mightier than the sword.” We award it the Dove “Faith-Friendly” Seal for ages 12+.
