Dove Review

“Journeying With Jesus” is an awesome trip to the Holy Land, via your host, writer and narrator David Nunn. Mr. Nunn takes the viewer to the famous sites in scripture, from the birthplace of Jesus, Bethlehem, to his hometown of Nazareth, and even shows a man doing carpentry work, such as Jesus would have done when he was a young man. We also see where Jesus gave on the Sermon on the Mount, the Sea of Galilee where he quieted the storm, the outer gates of the Temple court where he drove away the money changers, and the place where Pilate had him scourged. Finally, the film leads us to the site of the crucifixion, now housed in a church, and to the garden tomb which still remains empty.

Mr. Nunn recounts the incredible history of the life of Jesus, his miracles, and the opposition he faced from the religious leaders of the day. This documentary concludes with Jesus’ ascension into heaven after appearing to more than 500 of his followers at once. At the end, the film leaves us with these famous words: “I am with you always.” We award this beautiful and inspirational documentary our Faith Friendly Seal for all ages. You can enjoy it with your entire family at Christmas, Easter, or any time you want to celebrate the incredible life of Jesus.
