Inexperienced in the area of courtship, actor and first generation Indian-American, Ravi Patel, is suddenly thrown into the deep end of the dating pool. He reluctantly consents to let his parents find him an ideal Indian bride through traditional means.

Dove Review

Different cultures have different traditions. As Ravi travels back to India with his parents and sister, he learns about the arranged marriages that are a part of his culture. After breaking up with his girlfriend, Ravi decides to participate in the Indian rituals of finding a wife.

This documentary-type film takes viewers into Ravi’s world and shows both the differences and similarities about dating in any culture. The film also takes an interesting look at the parents’ participation and their thoughts on arranged marriage after being married for 35 years.

Filled with comedy, drama, and dating norms in different cultures. This film is awarded the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for ages 12+.
